Iyer mess is a pretty popular food point in Malleswaram which is serving an authentic Brahmin style food from last 40 years. It is not a restaurant or a Darshini hotel but a home where you can enjoy the scrumptious South-Indian meal with a twist. In a Thaali, you will be served with rice, one vegetable curry, rasam, sambar, pickle, papad, and a half glass of curd. It has two entrances, one that lets you inside the outer sanctum and the other with steps moving to the outer sanctum of the temple. Blessed with a beautiful garden and the peaceful ambiance, this legendary temple is certainly an abode of peace and tranquillity.
Sri Dakshina Murthi Nandishwara Teertha Temple
This is a small temple located diagonally opposite to Kaadu Malleshwara temple, exactly in front of the Gangamma temple in Malleshwaram. The very entrance of this temple will make you go meditative and the vibe here is truly magical. At the focal point, you see Nandi which is positioned towards South and that’s the name, ‘Dakshina Nandi’.
Sri Gangamma Devi temple
Just located near Kaadu Malleshwara temple, Gangamma Devi temple is an abode of the Goddess Ganga who is considered to have manifested as the incarnation of Shakti. The annual Gangamma Jathre is a fiesta to watch and during Navratri, the temple attracts a lot of devotees from all walks of life.
One of our favorites, Sankey tank park looks amazingly beautiful in the lustful evenings of Bengaluru. People come here to take a brisk walk along the lake’s edge and to embrace the momentous climate of Namma Bengaluru. An interesting sight about this park is the pigeons and ducks who wander around. You’ll love it for sure and also, never mind to take thousands of pictures if we are not exaggerating. There are two entrances to this park, one from Malleswaram and other from Sadashiva Nagar. If you want to buy fresh fruits and vegetables then come to Malleshwaram market.
