Theater Actor Bhargavi Narayan Passes Away, Here Are Some Facts About Her

Bhargavi Narayan was a legendary theater actor and a film actress from the Kannada industry. She breathed her last yesterday at her residence in Jayanagar in Bengaluru. She was suffering from age related illness.

• She has acted in over 22 films and many theater plays.
• Before acting, she worked as a manager at the ESI Corporation.
• She has directed and written plays for All India Radio’s women’s programs.
• She has also worked as a member of Kannada Natak Academy.
• She was married to Belavadi Nanjundaiah Narayana, a.k.a. Makeup Nani who was a popular make up artist in the Kannada industry, also an actor.
• Her son Prakash is a recipient of National Film Award.
• She has written an autobiography called, ‘Naanu Bhargavi’.
• She has also received the Karnataka State Film Award.
• In her small screen career, she was part of hit serials such as ‘Manthana’ and ‘Mukta’.
• She was also a speaker at Bengaluru Literature Festival in 2018.
• She wrote a book in Kannada, called Naa Kanda Nammavaru, published by Ankita Pustaka, Bengaluru.
