Rhea Chakraborty, the prime accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, has broken her silence and given her first interview and has put out her side of the story. She addressed all the allegations that have been made against her.
Taking to Instagram, Rhea Chakraborty posted a video where her father is seen mobbed by the media. Her father was chased by reporters in their building. Posting the video, Rhea requested for the protection of her family and claimed that she has a threat to her life. She wrote,
“This is inside my building compound, the man in this video is my father Indrajit Chakraborty (retired army officer). We have been trying to get out of our house to cooperate with ED, CBI, and various investigation authorities to cooperate. There is a threat to my life and my family’s life. We have informed the local police station and even gone there, no help provided. We have informed the investigation authorities to help us get them, no help arrived. How is this family going to live? We are only asking for assistance, to cooperate with the various agencies that have asked us. I request Mumbai Police to please provide protection so that we can cooperate with these investigation agencies.”
In the video, there is a man in a white shirt and a cap who is assumed to be the father of Rhea Chakraborty. He gets out of a black car and is surrounded by television media crews. The man, with great difficulty, rushes inside the building.
India Today Interview
In the interview with India Today’s Rajdeep Sardesai, Rhea Chakraborty was asked when did she realize that Sushant was dealing with mental health problems. Rhea responded saying,
“When we were leaving for Europe, Sushant said that he feels claustrophobic in a flight. He took medicine, Modafinil, without any prescription. When we reached Paris, he didn’t leave his room for three days. Before the trip, he said that he was very happy. He had told me that he is very excited about the trip as he will show me his true side during our Europe stay. He will walk on the streets and have fun with me which he couldn’t do in India. We were really happy. I was wondering what happened.”
