Netizens have been sharing videos and pictures of Rakhi Sawant, where she is seen wearing a hijab and carrying a backpack. The Twitterati claimed that the actress is expressing her thoughts on the Hijab row that turned aggressive in the country.

Several people claim that this appearance was Rakhi’s way to oppose the Hijab row. However, some even claimed that this was the actor’s way to support Muslim women wearing hijab to educational institutions.

Reality Check
After searching for the truth we found out that none was true. In fact, this is a video from August 2021, months before the hijab protest in the country. Rakhi had then told that she was wearing a hijab that a friend had gifted her. The clip is now being resurfaced online amid the ongoing hijab row in the country and thus, has no connection with the issue.
The hijab issue went viral after the Karnataka primary and secondary education department stated that students of government schools should appear for the examinations with the uniform prescribed by the state government. This order rejected students wearing hijabs to the school.
