Bengalureans share a bizarre picture of a penguin in the city. Various memes and jokes were shared on the internet.
Penguins in Bengaluru
Apart from being known as the IT hub of India, Bengaluru has earned a bad reputation for its poor road infrastructure and potholes that have often caused trouble for citizens.
The situation is so worse that a pothole in the Bellandur area is marked on Google Maps.
Earlier in the first week of November, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had assured that all potholes in the city would be repaired by November 15.
However, the civic body has once again lied to the citizens. Officials said rain in the city further delayed the work to fill the potholes. This has not gone well with netizens who slammed the civic body for failure and deliberate delay in the renovation work.
With this, netizens from Bengaluru have shared a hilarious meme of a penguin swimming in a pothole in the city.

Near the newly laid Varthur-Kodi link road #potholes. Kids have to endure so much agony: school buses get stuck, traffic delays. Huge risk for 2-wheelers. #Bengaluru #Bangalore @WFRising @RisingVarthur @NammaWhitefield @BbmpEast @DCPTrEastBCP pic.twitter.com/OHhNJUKv9m
