Bengaluru Took The Most Uber Pools in 2019, Reveals Uber’s Annual Report

In an annual mobility report by Uber called “How India moved in 2019”, it was revealed that Bengaluru topped in the list of taking Uber Pools. The other cities that followed were Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.

“November and December were the favorite months for Indians to leave their cars behind and use Uber, and December 7 saw the maximum Uber rides of the year,” the report by Uber read.

The rides taken by customers peaked during the festive season and on occasions like Holi, Diwali, and Dusshera.

Uber also said that Western India was officially the sleepless region of 2019 in India with the highest number of trips between 2 am to 5 am. The cities that took the highest number of cabs within this time span were Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, and Pune. Kochi remained the only non-Western city in the top 5 in this category.

Uber is actively trying to make sure that people indulge in ride-sharing instead of taking individual cabs in order to create a more sustainable environment whilst still catering to their target customer’s needs.
