The Real Life Hero: Jack Ma To Donate Emergency Supplies To South Asian countries

In testing times, we get to know the true nature of people, especially those who are more privileged than others. In that light, Jack Ma, Alibaba founder has now pledged that he will donate emergency supplies to 10 South and Southeast Asian countries.

Jack Ma is one of the richest people in the world right now, which allows him to make donations when a calamity such as a pandemic hits the world.

He announced this news in a tweet that read: “Go Asia! We will donate emergency supplies (1.8 million masks, 210,000 test kits, 36,000 protective suits, plus ventilators and thermometers) to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Delivering fast is not easy, but we’ll get it done!”

India, however, is the only Asian country not to be featured in the list but that can be owed to te fact that Indian authorities are handling this pandemic pretty neatly themselves and cases have not become too serious though nothing can be ruled out as yet.

“The pandemic we face today can no longer be resolved by any individual country,” Jack Ma has said in a recent statement. However, this is not the first time such a move has been made by Mr. Ma. He recently also announced that he will be donating 500,000 COVID19 testing kits and 1 million masks to the United States in the wake of them running out of test kits.
