I Want To Speak For One Last Time: Krish Opens Up On Kangana-Manikarnika Controversy

The Queen of Jhansi, the filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi had accused Kangana Ranaut of hijacking the film. She had reshot the remaining portions of the film and took the credit as co-director. Now, Krish made an appearance on Samantha Akkineni’s talk show Sam Jam along with Rakul Preet Singh. The director revealed that for ‘one last time’ he wants to speak about the Manikarnika controversy which was a topic of discussion for a very long time.

In the promo unveiled by the makers, Krish is heard saying, “I want to speak for one last time. Kangana and her team watched the film and I got a call after two days. My only fear was that I might remain unknown to the world. As artists, we can only show our potential to the world when we get the right opportunities.”

Back in 2019, when Kangana claimed that she directed 70% of Manikarnika, Krish stated that the actor is lying. During an interaction, he had said, “Kangana is lying. Clearly, if you look at the messages she sent to Vijayendra and still stored them, seems that there was a plan in her mind to take over and present these later in her defence. So, that it doesn’t look like an after-thought.”

Jagarlamudi also said, “She returned, saw the film and said that she liked it. She, however, added that she had few small concerns. After a few days, she said that iska jyaada hai, uska jyaada hai, this girl is overpowering, that girl is overpowering. Then she came up with yeh change karna hai, woh change karna hai. She also said that Kamal Jain (producer) hadn’t liked the film.”
