Google has announced the same on the occasion of the International Mother Languages Day which is celebrated on the 21st of every year to create awareness about linguistic diversity and cultural diversity across the world.
Kannada is indeed a beautiful language and is a mother tongue to about 43 million speakers as of 2011. if counted in the secondary and tertiary manner, it is equal to about 56.9 million speakers in the country.
