Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday informed about his government’s commitment to implement Kannada as a compulsory subject in all schools.

Kannada a must-learn language 

Chief Minister on Wednesday inaugurated the 85th Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in Kalaburagi.

During this event, Mr. Yediyurappa told that he and his government were looking forward to making Kannada a must-learn language in all private schools in Karnataka, regardless of their association to state or central board.

The 76-year-old, in front of the yellow-redd flag, took a pledge to protect the land, river, and language of the state.

85th Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya Sammelana

The three-day 85th Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be organized at Gulbarga University premises in Kalaburagi between February 5 and 7, 2020.
