Shivrajkumar is returning to the screen with Ravi Verma’s Rustom co-starring Vivek Oberoi. The team released a poster along with the release date. The film will be releasing on the 28th of June.
Shivanna in his usual go-to intense look features in the poster. Going by the color palette of the poster, the film should be about the underbelly of the society which is occupied largely by the gangsters, mobs and the cops. We are not sure which role Shivanna will be playing but his track record proves that he can pull any of those on any day.
Rustom happens to be the debut direction of Ravi Verma who has been an action director for over a decade now. He started his career as a fight assistant in 1995 and turned action director from the Darshan starrer Dharma in 2004. He also choreographed action for Sangolli Rayyanna, one of Sandalwood’s biggest films. He has even worked in Bollywood for films like R…Raajkumar, Jai Ho, Raees and Action Jackson. For his debut direction, he couldn’t have got a better star cast!
The film also stars Vivek Oberoi which will be his first film in Kannada. He is believed to be playing a pivotal role. This film is Vivek’s immediate release followed by the much-hyped PM Narendra Modi. Actress Mayuri will be playing the sister of Shivrajkumar. The film also has Shraddha Srinath and Rachita Ram in important roles.
The music of the film is composed by J Anoop Seelin and Mahendra Simha is the director of
Photography. On April 24, the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajkumar, a motion poster of Rustom was released and met with a lot of excitement by fans. A massive set was raised in Minerva studios to carry out the photo shoot for the poster. It is reported that the photo shoot cost the producer a massive 10 lakh rupees as it was done by a 100-megapixel camera which is a first in Sandalwood.
Produced under the banner of Jayanna Combines, Rustom is censored U/A and is all set to release on the 28th of June.
