Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh lashed out at Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia for leaving the party.
Digvijay Singh took to Twitter and posted the videos of Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia and wrote,
“At the national level, people had high confidence in these two emerging leaders. Now listen to what he is saying and what he is doing.”
The video is of the year 2018 where Pilot and Scindia were campaigning for the Congress party before the Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan elections and are talking about the work done by the Congress party over the years. Speculations are such that both Scindia and Pilot were aspiring to be the Chief Ministers of the respective states at that time and hoped that their hard work would finally pay off. However, as time went by, Kamal Nath was made the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Ashok Gehlot was made the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The pilot was made the Deputy but Scindia was not given any such posts.
The Dissent In The Party
The dissent in the party was first noticed in Madhya Pradesh when Scindia removed Indian National Congress from his Twitter bio which was significant. In March, Scindia switched parties saying that Congress had lost its way and therefore the Congress government was toppled. Pilot on the other hand showed signs of rebellion after the government’s handling of the infant mortality at a hospital in Kota. Later, he started a coup against the Gehlot government which, as of now, didn’t stand.
The pilot has been sacked from the cabinet and has left the party. While the rumors has it that Sachin would follow the steps of Jyotiraditya Scindia by joining the rival party Bharatiya Janata Party, the leader has come out and categorically denied that he is not going to join the BJP. Many experts had believed that the likely choice for Pilot is to join the BJP but seems like it isn’t the case.
According to the reports, Sachin Pilot has categorically denied the possibility of him joining the BJP. A media house quoted him saying,
“I am not, repeat NOT, joining the BJP, some people are insinuating this to poison the minds of people in leadership positions in Delhi.”
