Prabhas and Shruti Haasan’s Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, is facing hurdles amid shooting. The filming is currently paused due to temporary hurdles and is expected to resume in the coming weeks. Prabhas is expected to play a violent character in the film.
KGF hangover
Prashanth Neel received much-needed fame and popularity thanks to the KGF franchise. The director’s popularity grows as a result of his massive box office returns and OTT streaming. His next project with Salaar is already in the news, and he announced NTR31 with a motion poster on NTR’s birthday.
The appearances of KGF, Salaar, and NTR31 are surprisingly similar. All of the heroes’ fierce features, dark backgrounds, and solid-colored faces add to the tension, and there are many more notable similarities between them. The audience adored KGF because they have never had anything like it before. But, if Prashanth Neel wants to do the same thing with other heroes, the upcoming films can become boring.
Change in the plan
To solve this problem Prashanth Neel has decided to bring some modifications to the visual effects and script writing. He knows that if he brings the same old ‘Rocky Bhai’ and ‘Retro Style’ looks in every film from now on, the audience will ignore the content of the film.
Prashanth must have a script that specifically changes the looks, and has to come out of KGF hangover. The 41-year-old began his career with Ugramm, and his films are more on dim and shady scenes than a colorful screenplay. We’ll have to wait and watch how Salaar and NTR 31 will do.
Prabhas is expected to resume the shoot of Project K in June and the plans of Salaar are put on hold for now. Prashanth Neel is not in a mood to use VFX edits to make the actor look slim on screen. He wants Prabhas to cut down his weight before the next schedule begins. After this, Prabhas will be on a weight-loss mission and he is about to work hard at the gym.
Hombale Film’s Salaar is a high voltage action entertainer and it has Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, and Prithviraj in the lead roles. Vijay Kirgandur is bankrolling the film and it may hit the screens in summer 2023.
