While on Instagram, a few days ago, he had talked about ‘fleeting life’, a strange connection now seems to be developing between his Twitter cover and conditions which drove him to suicide. Here is a snapshot of Sushant’s Twitter cover:

‘Starry Night’

As can be seen, Sushant had used the image of ‘Starry Night’ as his Twitter cover. ‘Starry Night’ is an art of work created by the popular painter Van Gogh.

‘Starry Night’ was one of the famous creations by the artiste, and incidentally, he had painted this while he resided in a lunatic asylum in southern France. It is believed that Van Gogh was suffering from hallucinations and was having suicidal thoughts as he plunged into depression, while residing in the asylum. This reflects in his work, as darker colors take precedence in the painting.

Van Gogh Gallery website states: “One of the biggest points of interest about this painting is that it came entirely from Van Gogh’s imagination. None of the scenery matches the area surrounding Saint-Paul or the view from his window. As a man who religiously paints what he sees, it’s a remarkable break from Van Gogh’s normal work“.

It is very much probable that ‘Starry Night’ was reflective of the turmoil within Van Gogh’s mind. Sushant Singh Rajput’s liking for the image seems to suggest that he too could have identified with the same, at least to a certain extent.
