In the latest interaction with the media, Prashanth Neel reveals why KGF: Chapter 1 had a small yet effective climax with no fight scenes. Did he do justice to the ending scene? Here is what Prashanth Neel said.
KGF 1 ending scene
Curious about the Chapter 1 ending scene, the anchor of the show asks Prashanth Neel to explain more about the limited time allotted to the garuda killing scene and why there were not enough fights?
“Even though the killing of the Garuda was the main event in KGF: Chapter 1, why did Prashanth Neel decide to keep it short? ” asked the anchor.
“Initially people told me that the ending of the KFG Chapter 1 lacked some fights and action. But I and Yash were very clear that this is our story and this is how it should end,” explains Prashanth.
“People may like it or not, we shot that scene with our full potential and it came out beautifully. Viewers had just witnessed a fight scene inside the mine where Rocky destroys all the guards saving the old man’s life. So putting one more fight in the climax scene never made sense. We stick to our guns and ended it how we planned,” revealed the director.
Climax reaction
Prashanth Neel further explains how people really appreciated the climax of the previous movie and went crazy over it.
“The first reaction I got from the audience was crazy. They loved whatever they saw on the big screen. The way Rocky came close to Garuda and chopped him off cleverly was equal to 5 climax scenes together,” said Prashanth.
KGF: Chapter 2 is slated to release worldwide on 14th April 2022 in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. The movie is said to be made on a 100 crore budget. Apart from Yash and Sanjay Dutt- Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, and Malavika Avinash are playing key roles in the movie.
