“I can’t declare that I am making India’s superheroes. But we are shaping our universe and I am happy that people are enjoying it and they know about this universe. This is a beginning for Bollywood and everyone is delighted,” Rohit said.

First time in Bollywood

In May this year, Rohit Shetty began shooting for the film in Mumbai. After this, he and his team flew to Bangkok to shoot Akki’s introductory scene. Later, the team returned to Hyderabad to film the rest of the scenes. “When I started with Simmba when we were scripting for the film and we thought about the universe getting merged, I was a bit scared. Whether people will (like it)… Suddenly they should not feel ‘what is happening’,” Rohi said.

The film is set to release on 2020 March. Rohit Shetty will wrap up the shoot with a short plan in Goa and then shoot a romantic number with Akshay and Katrina. However, he also has plans to introduce a female cop in his cop universe.
