Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejaswi Surya on Monday trained guns at Owaisi brothers ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls, which are scheduled to be held on December 1.
Surya alleged that Asaduddin Owaisi and his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi have not allowed any development but only Rohingya Muslims in Hyderabad. He further said that Owaisi speaks the language of “separatism and extremism”.
While speaking to media, the BJP MP said, “Laughable that Akabaruddin and Asaduddin Owaisi are speaking of development. They haven’t allowed development in old Hyderabad, the only thing they allowed is Rohingya Muslims.

“Every single vote to Owaisi is a vote against India and everything that India stands for,” he added.
In a blistering attack at the AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Surya said, “He speaks the language of rabid Islamism, separatism and extremism which Mohd Ali Jinnah was also speaking.”
The BJP MP’s attack has come ahead of the GHMC polls which are seen as a triangular contest among the AIMIM, TRS and BJP. The polls will be held on December 1 and results will be announced three days later on December 4.
Communal politics will not work in Hyderabad’: Asaduddin Owaisi attacks BJP ahead of polls
Yesterday, Asaduddin Owaisi accused the BJP of trying to give communal colour to the forthcoming GHMC polls. He also questioned what help did the Central government provide to Hyderabad when it was ravaged by floods.
The AIMIM chief said, “If you wake up a BJP leader at night and ask them to give some names, they will say Owaisi, followed by traitor, terrorism and lastly Pakistan. But BJP should say what financial help they provided to Telangana, especially Hyderabad after 2019.”
“Hyderabad was hit by a flood. What financial help did Modi government provide to Hyderabad? They are trying to give this (election) a communal colour because they provided no help at that time. This will not work here, people know,” he added.
