Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines these days for her tweets on farmers’ protest and her Twitter battle with Diljit Dosanjh. The actress landed in trouble after she tweeted about a farmers’ protest and a 90-year-old lady, whom she misidentified as Bilkis Bano.
In her now-deleted tweet, the actress had taken a jibe at the 90-year-old lady and said that she is Shaheen Bagh dadi (Bilkis Bano) and stated that she takes Rs 100 to be a part of the protests. Needless to add, the actress’ statement drew ire from social media users and a lot of celebrities from the Punjabi entertainment industry.
Now, a legal notice has been sent to Kangana by Akali Dal for the remark she made. Manjinder Singh Sirsa took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “We have sent a legal notice to @KanganaTeam for her derogatory tweet calling the aged mother of a farmer as a woman available for Rs 100. Her tweets portray farmers protest as antinational We demand an unconditional apology from her for her insensitive remarks on farmers protest.”
For the unversed, the tweet, which has now deleted by Kangana, read, “Ha ha ha she is the same dadi who featured in Time magazine for being the most powerful Indian ….. And she is available in 100 rupees Pakistani journo’s have hijacked international PR for India in an embarrassing way. We need our own people to speak for us internationally.”
