September 15 is the day India celebrates Engineer’s Day. Over the years, we have seen how engineers’ roles have changed. The nation celebrates the day in order to honor the achievements of the great engineer Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He was a civil engineer who received the Bharat Ratna in 1955 for his outstanding contribution to the development of the country.
M Visvesvaraya was the top engineer for the construction of the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam on the Kavery River in Mysore, which at that time was built as the largest reservoir in Asia. In the world of technology, mechanics and construction engineers are of different kinds and have contributed significantly to the world.
