“Dodda Namaskara”: Kichcha Sudeep fans urge actor not to work with R Chandru again

After Sudeep, and Upendra starrer Kabzaa took a massive blow from day one of its release, Kichcha Sudeep fans are now demanding their favorite actor not to work with R Chandru anymore.

Kabzaa’s horror show

Kabzaa, Kichcha Sudeep, and Upendra Rao’s recently released pan-India film was in buzz but it has fallen flat in theaters from day 1. The film has not impressed the viewers and the Box Office collections dropped in the first few days. The R Chandru directorial is a period-action film set in the pre-Independence era. The film was highly anticipated among the fans.

Over the last few weeks, director R Chandru had been busy promoting his latest film in the name of Upendra, Kichcha Sudeep, and Shivarajkumar, even though multiple sources reported that the rest of the stars leaving Upendra had minor cameos in the film. Kiccha Sudeep, for instance, was believed to have screen time of about 17 minutes only, which, Upendra had also confirmed in an interview.

A demand from Sudeep’s fans

But when the film was released on March 17, Sudeep had all of two scenes spanning, hardly 5 minutes at the most, with him narrating the story of Arkeshwara (Upendra) to a bunch of rowdy sheeters, and in the climax, when he lines up his forces to take on the gangster.

Fans of the Kannada superstar who watched R Chandru’s film to see how well the filmmaker used the presence of multiple stars in his films were in for a major shock and have been relaying it to Sudeep on Twitter, where he is quite active.

During the release date of Kabzaa, Sudeep had tweeted a congratulatory message to team Kabzaa, as he’d heard good reports about it. “Hearing good about #Kabzaa…Happy for you @rchandru_movies @nimmaupendra sir. Congrats Team,” he tweeted.
