Actor turned politician Ramya had stayed away from public life for over a year now. It is only recently that she has seen to be active on her Facebook page.
In her ‘comeback’ post on Facebook, Ramya gave her opinion about the Ram Mandir ceremony that took place on the 5th of August. She wrote,
“I am happy that the Hindus are happy that the Ram Mandir is being built. I will be happy too when Muslims will be happy when the mosque is going to be built. I would be MOST happy when they realize that one doesn’t need a temple or mosque to be happy or to realize god. True happiness lies in unity/oneness/togetherness. Negate the external, look within. There lies your true god. The real you.”
Along with that, she captioned the post saying,
“Don’t be a victim to politics. Don’t succumb to the identity crisis it creates for power and control. Question, look through it & rise above.”
The Ground-Breaking Ceremony Of Ayodhya
On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court gave a landmark judgment and ruled that the disputed land in Ayodhya will be handed over to a trust formed by the government to look after the construction of Ram Temple. However, the court did say that the demolition of Babri Masjid was illegal and asked the government to acquire an alternative plot of land for the Muslims to build a mosque.
On the 5th of August, in the ground-breaking ceremony in Ram Temple Ayodhya, among the many esteemed guests were Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mohan Bhagwat. The prominent leaders who were part of the ceremony sat around the havan fire adhering to the social distancing norms and wearing masks in the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The priests chanted Vedic mantras according to the yagyas.
