After collaborating for 2015’s Rana Vikrama, director Pawan Wadeyar and Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar joined hands again for this year’s Natasarvabhowma. The result was a complete entertainer and a unique entry to Power Star’s filmography. Co-starring Rachita Ram and Anupama Parameswaran in her Kannada debut, the movie got a bumper release with 1,394 shows across Karnataka. After a spectacular run at the box office, the movie finally gets a digital release on ZEE5 on 24th May 2019. However, in case, you have missed this top-notch entertainer, here’s why you should watch Natasaarvabhowma on ZEE5.
Power Star’s Brush with the Horror Genre
So far in his film career, Puneeth Rajkumar has not attempted a horror flick. But that changed with Natasarvabhowma. But kudos to the director Pawan Wadeyar for keeping the commercial elements intact while dabbling with the horror genre in the movie. While there are some scary scenes, the supernatural elements in the story brilliantly take the central premise forward in full mass style. Also, Chikkana and Sadhu Kokila shine in their comedy track when the supernatural sequences take place. Do watch out for them too.
Anupama Parameswaran’s fantastic Kannada Debut
One of the biggest buzzes around Natasarvabhowma was the fact that it was popular South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran’s Kannada film debut. After winning hearts of Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil audiences, Anupama mesmerizes in a beautifully written role in this movie. You just can’t help but fall in love with her character. Her chemistry with Puneeth in the Kolkata sequences is crackling and you need to see it to believe it.
Action Sequences Deliver the Thrills
When it comes to Power Star movies, action sequences are something that is always expected to be epic. Be it Jackie, Anna Bond or Rana Vikrama, Puneeth never disappoints in action sequences. Even in Natasarvabhowma, there are some kickass fight sequences. However, the one that takes places at the airport surely takes the cake. In this scene, athletic Power Star is at his best.
Puneeth aces the Dance Numbers
It is a known fact that Puneeth Rajkumar is one of the best dancers in Sandalwood. Few can pull off the smooth dance moves he does in his movies. He just keeps getting better with time and takes on even more complex steps with every movie of his. Even in Natasarvabhowma, he simply kills it in the ‘Title Track’ and ‘Open The Bottle’ song. The hook step of Open The Bottle especially makes me go wow and think ‘what are his ankles made of to be so flexible?’
Songs that are playlist-worthy
Now, you might wonder why a separate section for songs when we have his dance numbers before. Well, that’s because D. Imman’s killer soundtrack deserves a special mention. While the ‘Title Track’ and ‘Open The Bottle’ are fantastic party tracks to groove on, the romantic tracks in the movie are like honey to the ears. Both the male and female version of Tajaa Samachara hit the right chord in our hearts, whereas Shreya Ghoshal’s voice feels magical in the ‘Yaaro Naanu’ song. Going by the overall music experience, I would rate Natasarvabhowma high up among the top D. Imman soundtracks.
With such amazing factors in play, Kannada audiences shouldn’t miss out on Natasarvabhowma’s digital release on ZEE5. This movie is as paisa vasool as it gets.
