Bengaluru is all set to stretch its Green line of Metro which will be accessible to commuters from 18 June. By this, we have a complete Phase 1 of the Metro ready which has a wide spread of 42.3 km stretch across the city. Nagasandra in the North and Yelechanahalli in the South
The green line has a stretch of 24.2 km with 24 stations and the terminals. The line connects Nagasandra in the North and Yelechanahalli in the South. It is said that trains will run at a frequency of four minutes during peak hours while at other times, it will wield every six minutes. So, on an average, it just takes you 45 minutes to cover the entire green line including stoppage.
Which are the stations that come in the way?
The new limb of Green line runs up to Yelachanahalli in the south and the major stops include KR Market, Lal Bagh, South End Circle, and Banashankari. The line covers 10 stations with the 4km of a stretch between Sampige Road to National College being underground and the rest of the corridor has a rear view.
Note: You have an option to switch from Green line to the Purple line or Viceversa at Majestic which is revamped with two level interchange station. Amazing thing is that it will come out of the paid area and you can buy a single ticket for the complete journey.

Ticket Cost
Approximately it may cost Rs.55 for the entire north to the south corridor (As per the BMRCL) while the fare chart for the Green line is yet to be released. It is anticipated that 5 Lakh commuters can easily travel across the North and the South of Bangalore.
