After Basaveshwaranagar, the Wall of Kindness gets a new place in Rajarajeshwari Nagara. The initiative will encourage residents to donate for the needy in four places in RR Nagara. The plan is to reach the maximum numbers of donors.
4 New Places in RR Nagara
Amongst the four walls decided, one will be near Shri Nimishamba Devi Temple circle, one will be opposite to Global College of Engineering, another one near RR Nagar bus depot and the final one will be opposite to Krishna Garden Park. A total area of 5 km will be covered to attract more donors.
It is also said that there are plannings to provide a separate rack for different items. Such as racks for blankets, pillows, books, magazines and educational books. They are also planning to have racks which will be separated for men, women, and kids.
One of the residents in the RR Nagar had told that the Wall of Kindness will help several construction workers who do not have proper accommodation and reside in tents where they find difficult to face the winter chill.
Will help more people in need
He said, “We are looking forward to contributing to the economically poorer sections of the society. Many other areas in Bengaluru already have taken up the wall of kindness initiatives, but what we are adding to this wall is homemade food. We will not allow people to keep packets of food, but rather ask them to gather at a fixed time and distribute it to the needy themselves.”
To keep an eye on illegal activities, there is a plan to install CCTV cameras in all four areas to ensure security. These cameras will be connected to mobile phones and the residents will be made aware of any such miscreants. In such cases of lawbreakers, a complaint will be registered at the police station and immediate action will be taken. A police patrolling team will be visiting the wall of kindness at night to ensure the safety of the initiative.
