In a first, Swara Bhasker has come out in support of Kangana in the ongoing word-war with Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. Two women who are dead opposite in their ideologies, it is probably the first time that the both have agreed on a topic.
The war of words
It all started a couple of days ago when a BJP leader wrote to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray requesting him to allot police protection for Kangana Ranaut. To this, Kangana replied that, at the moment, she was scared more about the Mumbai Police than the mafia.
Shiv Sena took note of this comment, and Sanjay Raut was one of the first leaders to respond. He slammed Kangana and said that her act was treacherous. Having lived in Mumbai for a long time, and made a career in an industry based out of the city, Sanjay felt that Kangana’s comments were vile. He even asked her not to return to Mumbai.
Later, for the open-threats, Kangana compared Mumbai to PoK and the Taliban. Referring to this statement, Sanjay Raut used offensive language and a couple of other Shiv Sena leaders followed suit too.
Swara Bhasker slams Sanjay Raut
Taking to her Twitter handle today, Swara Bhasker said that the words used by Sanjay Raut must not be directed against any women. She also pointed out the hypocrisy that most of the right-wing followers abuse her day in day out. Here is what the actress said:
???????????? @HashTagCricket
I will believe in the ‘feminism’ of the right wing the day they stop abusing me. That said, such words should not be used against any woman… @rautsanjay61 pic.twitter.com/d6EmoZZaK2— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) September 6, 2020
Earlier, even Dia Mirza came out in support of Kangana. She also added that the trend of abusing women has become high off-late. Well, it needs to be seen if the matter would end anytime soon, as Kangana has hit back at Sanjay Raut saying that she would be coming to Mumbai on September 9th.
