Twitter chief Elon Musk is not satisfied with the falling engagement on his tweets and has fired an employee after he did not like the explanation he gave.
Twitter CEO fires company’s top engineer
Twitter CEO Elon Musk has fired the company’s top engineer because of his declining reach. The world’s richest man, last week, kept his account private for one day to see whether that would increase the amount of his audience, reports The Verge.
Elon Musk recently changed the settings of his Twitter account from public to private for a day, thinking it might boost the engagement size. Musk then called a group of engineers and advisors for a meeting to discuss the ongoing issue.
A Twitter user, @steinkobbe, shared the screenshots of a Platformer news report which features the incident. “Elon is firing engineers for explaining to him why his tweets are getting less likes,” the user wrote.

‘Ridiculous issue’
The Verge report stated he called the issue “ridiculous” and added, “I have more than 100 million followers, and I’m only getting tens of thousands of impressions.”
The engineer also said there is no evidence that Twitter’s algorithm was biased against him. But Musk did not take the news well.
“You’re fired, you’re fired,” Musk told the engineer, according to the outlet. He has instructed engineers to track how many times each of his tweets are recommended, one employee said.
As per Twitter data, tweets from Musk routinely get millions of views. But the views represent a fraction of Musk’s 128 million followers.
