After a series of tweets criticising Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted strongly to the remarks of both Thackeray and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. The actress reacted to a tweet that had Thackeray’s recent remark, wherein the politician had defended Maharashtra Police.
The tweet to which the Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi reacted read, “CM Uddhav Thackeray on Kangana Ranaut’s comment: “Those who don’t even get proper food in their state, come here, make money and then become namak-haram by comparing Mumbai with POK & defame the state, its leaders and the police department. We all are proud of Mumbai police”.
In her tweet, Kangana said that the Shiv Sena leader caller her ‘haramkhar’ and the Maharashtra CM called her ‘namak haram’. Directly addressing Thackeray, Kangana said that she’s her son, Aditya Thackeray’s age. She lambasted the CM and called him a product of nepotism.
“Raut called me Haramkhor now Uddhav called me namak haram, he is claiming I won’t get food in my state if Mumbai does not give me shelter, shame on you I am your son’s age this is how you speak to a self made single woman, Chief Minister you are the worse product of nepotism,” read the actress’ tweet.
In another tweet, the actress said that she’s not “drunk” on her father’s “power and wealth” and has self respect and self worth. Kangana penned, “Chief Minister I am not drunk on my father’s power and wealth like you, if I wanted to be a nepotism product I could have stayed back in Himachal, I hail from a renowned family, I didn’t want to live off on their wealth and favours, some people have self respect and self worth.”
Earlier today, Kangana also penned a series of tweets, wherein she slammed Thackeray for hinting that Ganja is grown in Himachal Pradesh. Calling him a “petty person”, the actress termed his views “vengeful, myopic and ill-informed.” She called Himachal Pradesh ‘Dev Bhumi’ and said that it’s a spiritual place with kind and innocent people. “You should be ashamed of yourself chief minister,” wrote Kangana as she targetted Thackeray, claiming that he is indulging in petty fights and using his power to insult, damage and humiliate people who don’t agree with him.
The actress had earlier compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir and many from the film fraternity and politics had reacted to Kangana’s remark on social media.
