“Richie will ‘Rise from the Dead'”: Rakshit Shetty spills beans about Richard Anthony

Rakshit Shetty will go for a complete body transformation for Richard Anthony. The Hombale Film’s action entertainer will go on floors in July.

Rakshit Shetty has been away from the spotlights for quite some time owing to Hemanth M. Rao’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. The film made Rakshit undergo a massive physical transformation by gaining close to 20 kilos in weight. Having shot for over 100 days for the film, we now hear that Rakshit is gradually leaning toward his own directorial Richard Anthony, which he plans on taking on floors at the earliest.

According to reports, the 777 Charlie actor has already finished scripting Richard Anthony and is apparently super excited about bringing the film to life. Richard Anthony is a spin-off of the 2013 Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe with the upcoming version focusing on the character that he essayed as Richard Anthony a.k.a Richie.

Rakshit Shetty reveals the plot

In the latest interview, the actor revealed a lot about the film’s narrative and Plot. “The sequel will be about what happened to Richie after Ulidavaru Kandanthe. The previous film was all about perspective, misconceptions, and erroneous stories. In Richard Anthony, I will clear all these misunderstandings,” reveals Rakshit Shetty who is also helming the film.

“Whatever questions about the film the viewers had will be cleared in Richard Anthony. The most interesting thing about this cinema will be-‘it will have two parallel stories going together’. It will also have a mind-bending climax,” the actor adds.

Meanwhile, Richard Anthony is being produced by KGF 2 and Kantara makers Hombale Films and this is Rakshit Shetty’s first collaboration with the production house. The team released a teaser more than a year ago which had become very popular among the audience.
