On Monday afternoon, former President Pranab Mukherjee passed away after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Pranab Mukherjee’s son Abhijit Mukherjee announced his death as he tweeted,
“With a Heavy Heart, this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away in spite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers duas & Prarthana from people throughout India.”
