Kichcha Sudeep-starrer Vikrant Rona is a multilingual action-adventure that was a 3-D release in 14 languages across 55 countries. Here’s what popular Kannada movie reviewer Kairam Vaashi has to say about the film.
Vikrant Rona and its elements
Kichcha Sudeep-starrer was released across the globe on July 28. The popular actor plays the supposed character of Vikrant aka the Lord of the Dark who strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies in the film. Considered to be visually charming, Vikrant Rona also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nirup Bhandari, and Neetha Ashok. It seems like Anup Bhandari’s tried to do something new to the audience by bringing top-notch 3D and visual effects. However, the film has mixed responses from the audience. While some called it a brilliant movie, some called it a disappointment.
Vikrant Rona is a period drama and is set in the ancient village called Komarattu in Karnataka. In this movie, a cop gets killed mysteriously, and in comes inspector Vikrant Rona(Sudeep) who tries to handle the situation. Upon investigation, he finds out that sixteen other small kids have also been killed and these murders have a connection with his life.
An ambitious attempt
Vikrant Rona is an ambitious attempt at making an imaginary world with a homegrown superhero. Kichcha Sudeep is a more major asset to the film as his performance is stunning. He has mostly solo scenes and needs to carry the film on his shoulders and Sudeep did a brilliant job. He looks super fit and did great action during the climax scene.
