As per the reports, Modi has given a statement about the show, which reads, “For years, I have lived among nature, in the mountains and the forests. These years have a lasting impact on my life. So when I was asked about a special program focusing on life beyond politics and that too in the midst of nature, I was both intrigued and inclined to take part in it.”
He also added that the show will help create awareness amongst people about the importance of nature and environmental conservation, he said, “For me, this show presents a great opportunity to showcase to the world India’s rich environmental heritage and stress on the importance of environment conservation and living in harmony with nature. It was a great experience spending time in the jungle once again, this time with Bear, who is blessed with indefatigable energy and quest to experience nature at its purest.”
Modi vs Wild with Bear Grylls
The host Bear Grylls is a British former SAS serviceman who has spent his entire life with flora and fauna, guiding people and instructing them the rules of survival in the wildest of nature. Man vs Wild is a survival television series on the Discovery Channel which shows Bear’s ultimate survival techniques in a lost woodland.
This is not the first time Bear has made an episode with a popular leader, previously he had made a show with the United States of America’s former President Obama. In this episode, he was seen instructing the then US President with survival techniques. However, an episode shooted with Narendra Modi who is as the head of the world’s largest democracy, Bear, promises the viewers that they will witness the unknown side of the PM.
He said, “It is such a privilege to be taking Prime Minister Modi on an adventure into the Indian wilderness and I feel truly honored to get to spend time with this remarkable world leader. It is amazing to see how different he is as a human being. The wild reminds us that we need each other and that together we are stronger. I am so excited to spend time with the PM and to get to know the man who leads this great nation.”
The Program will be telecasted on 12th August at 9 pm at Discovery channel
