Indian warriors are a blessing to the nation. Here is a story of one brave warrior, Pawan Kumar Choubey, who rescued a 3- year-old boy from bullets of terrorists.
A True Warrior
His name is Pawan Kumar Choubey, a CRPF CoBRA Commando. He has taken part in several operations in the Valley since 2016. He joined in 2010 and after facing the Naxals he was transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to do his part in the war on terrorism.
Battle-Hardened Fighter
“Prior to serving in Jammu and Kashmir, he was in 203 CoBRA battalion of CRPF which is an anti-Naxal battalion specially raised to deal with Naxalism. He performed there very well and later got transferred to another conflict zone Jammu and Kashmir. He is serving in Sapore since 2016 and is involved in various operations and other duties,” a senior CRPF official said, as per ANI report.
Protector Of The Innocent
When terrorists began to fire from a mosque, he saw the child sitting on his grandfather’s body. Pawan moved in closer and gestured the toddler to come to him. The boy did so and security forces took him away from the danger zone.
Terrorists have gone after civilians and children in the past as well in Jammu and Kashmir. On June 26, a CRPF jawan and a five-year boy fell prey to terrorists when they went after security forces in Bijbehara.
