The caption of the post read: “If celebrities are struggling with personal and mental health issues, the media should try and emphasize with them, rather than making it difficult for them.” She further questioned why the media projected the ‘weak mind’ of the actor when Sushant was a rank holder in academics.

She took the reference of a viral post in which Sushant had requested one of his fans to watch his movie. She added that despite Sushant’s impressive track record, he did not have awards or acknowledgments to show for, unlike the other star-kids.

Calling out the many rumor mongers and “paid journalist” who wrote pieces alleging he was “psychotic, neurotic and an addict,” Kangana said, “Sanjay Dutt ke addiction ko aap log bahut cute lagte hai.”

Not suicide but planned murder

She also revealed that she has been receiving messages asking her not to take any drastic step as she is in a difficult time. She said: “Why are you telling me this? Why do you want to put the thought of suicide in my mind?

She further alleged: “Ye suicide nahi, planned murder tha!” Kangana finished the video saying that Sushant’s only fault was in believing those people who told him he was “worthless” and forgetting his mother’s words to him.

Sushant Singh Rajput, the 34-year-old actor, had made a mark for himself in a short span of time in the industry. The death of the actor has sparked conversation regarding mental health and nepotism in social media. As per many reports, many producers and filmmakers in Bollywood were aware of the struggles Sushant was facing in his professional and personal life. Despite that, none of them came for his help.

Bollywood A-listers Mourn Sushant’s Death

As Bollywood mourned the death of the young actor, Twitter is reminding the fraternity of its treatment of the actor in the past. On Sunday, Twitter trended Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. In an episode of the chat show Koffee With Karan, when asked about Sushant Singh Rajput, Alia Bhatt dismissed the actor by saying ‘Sushant Singh Rajput who?’. The Twitter users have repeatedly flagged this comment of the actress repeatedly especially after the actor expressed her condolences post the demise of the actor. Karan Johar, himself, came out and acknowledged his shortcomings as he wrote on Twitter,

“I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year….. I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with…but somehow I never followed up on that feeling…will never make that mistake again.”

The Twitter users haunted Bollywood of its bullying and cornering of new talents sometimes in order to promote nepotism. When Salman Khan tweeted about Sushant’s death, people reminded him of his actions against Vivek Oberoi whose career saw a dent after his tussle with the star. Salman has been involved in such incidents in the past with respect to Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor, and even singer Arijit Singh.

The users ruthlessly reminded Bollywood of its hypocrisy and complacency.
