Narthan’s Next With Yash And Ram Charan Is Neither A Free Make Nor A Remake

Rumours are rife that Kannada filmmaker Narthan, who got a fair deal of attention with his action thriller Mufti in 2017, is set to team up with KGF star Yash and RRR star Ram Charan for his next movie. The director has been constantly hitting the headlines for holding talks with both the lead actors.

Ram Charan and Yash

As per the latest report, the RRR actor and the Mufti director met six months ago to discuss the film. And more recently, after Charan gave his formal nod, Megastar Chiranjeevi heard the final script on September 8. He loved it and the project is now going ahead.

“However, the latest development in this project is that Yash has not given his nod,” a source told The Free Press Journal. “He was approached to play the protagonist in Narthan’s untitled next. Both Yash and Ram Charan were approached simultaneously. But Ram Charan agreed to do the film, which will be helmed by director Narthan who has been making headlines about this project.”

Adding further sources shared with The Free Press Journal, “This film has a huge budget. Since Ram Charan has been locked for the film, it is set to go on floors soon. The makers will make an official announcement in the following week as they do not wish to incur any more delay in taking this project ahead.”

The script is original

The female lead and the other cast and credits are yet to be finalized, the source adds.

Sources also pointed out, “This Narthan’s directorial venture is neither a remake nor inspired by any Hollywood film. It is a raw and fresh film. The script is original. It is neither a free make nor a remake.”

On the other side, no official reports are backing Narthan’s independent project with the KFG star. Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 emerged as the most successful movie this year. Fans are eagerly waiting for the updates on the third installment of the blockbuster franchise.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan, on the work front, is busy shooting for his 15th film, under Shankar’s direction. The actor’s 16th film with Gautam Tinnanuri was recently shelved as Chiranjeevi did not like the complete script.
