In a real shocker to Indian cricket, Suresh Raina has also announced his retirement from international cricket today. The southpaw announced the decision through a cryptic post on his Instagram account today.
Two thick friends retire on the same day
Known to be thick friends on and off the field, it is hard to digest that both Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni have chosen to retire from the game on the same day. That leaves only the IPL where we can witness these two back together on the field in a competitive game.
On his Instagram account, Raina wished luck to MS Dhoni on his retirement, and also said that he would join him in the second innings. Later, the CSK social-media handle confirmed the news as they wished good luck to both the cricketers in a single post.

While MS Dhoni was well in contention to wear the blue jersey, Suresh Raina has been away from the game for a very long time. However, a class act that he is, Raina was always on the selectors’ mind.
