Jonty’s Love For India: Takes A Dip In Holy Ganga And Said He Was Thrilled With The Experience

Former Proteas cricketer Jonty Rhodes experienced a dip in the holy Ganga river during the ongoing International Yog Festival 2020. Seeing the situation, Harbhajan Singh stepped up and reacted to Rhodes’ picture from the festival.

One of the greatest fielders of all time and former South African batsman Jonty Rhodes shared a wonderful picture from his visit to Rishikesh for the International Yog Festival. The 50-year-old got a chance to take a dip in the holy Ganga river and was thrilled with the experience.

“Benefits of cold water immersion in the Holy Ganges are both physical and spiritual #moksha #rishikesh #internationalyogfestival,” Rhodes captioned with the picture.

After his tweet went viral, Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter and requested Rhodes seeing him occupy himself in the Ganges.

The cricketer then gave a cheeky request to Jonty asking him to take him along the next time while acknowledging that the South African has seen more India than the spinner has.

“You have seen more India than me my friend.. good to see you enjoying and having a dip in holy Ganga next time take me along,” Bhajji tweeted.

Jonty’s love for India 

The International Yog Festival 2020 was started in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand on March 1 and will end on March 7. The former Mumbai Indians coach arrived in India to engage in the same. One can participate in various therapies, including naturopathy, chakra healing, acupressure, etc. as well as different forms of yoga during the one-week-long festival.

Rhodes, who was roped in as the fielding coach of KXIP, had a special bond with Indian traditions. He even named his daughter India after she was born in 2016.
