Thereafter, she escaped from Bangalore on March 8 and flew to New Delhi by air and took a train Agra to meet her parents as reported.
According to the sources, the health officials responded after the alarm was circulated by Aligarh Medical College, which identified the woman as a patient with high suspicion of Covid-19 infection and Lucknow-based KGMU.
The health officials also said that they found resistance while visiting the house where she was found living with eight other family members and that they were only transferred to an isolation ward after the district magistrate had stepped in and called police.
She fled from Bengaluru to Agra
Agra DM Prabhu Narayan Singh said, “The woman returned to Agra on Sunday. We have isolated her family members and deputed a surveillance team to monitor them.”
The officials have sent her samples to the Pune-based National Institute of Virology for further tests.
Since she has traveled by air there is a high chance that passengers sitting near her in two rows back, front and side, might also be infected with the virus.
Meantime, considering careful measures, Agra railway authorities along with the district administration started sanitizing the railway station and coach.
