Friday was a sad day for the people of Karnataka. Just a few days before the Kannada Rajyotsava, the state lost a gem. Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last earlier today in Bengaluru.

After a gym session this morning, Puneeth collapsed. He was then taken to a family doctor where ECG was done. There were symptoms of a heart attack, and Puneeth was shifted to the Vikram Hospitals. The doctors tried their best but could not revive the actor. For the Kannada Film Industry and the state, it is a sudden jolt.
Raghavendra Rajkumar reacts after the passing away of his brother
Speaking to the media, Raghavendra Rajkumar said that it is him who should have left and not his brother. Raghanna revealed that on two occasions in the past, his brother rescued him but he could not do the same today. Raghavendra Rajkumar went on to say that Puneeth left us early to see his late parents.
He added that there was a lot of violence when Dr Rajkumar passed away. However, he asked the public to support him by not resorting to violence in the next few days. He requested the fans to help the family give a good send off to Puneeth.
Raghavendra Rajkumar revealed that Puneeth’s wife Ashwini is yet to come to terms with the reality. While Puneeth’s younger daughter is in Bengaluru, the elder daughter is arriving from America, where she had gone for education.
