One of the most anticipated moments of the Kannada Film Industry is here! The director’s chair, which had caught dust in the last seven years, is now up for a glorious makeover. Hombale Films, the makers of KGF, are producing Richard Anthony, through which Rakshit Shetty, one of Sandalwood’s new-age pioneers, will revert to wielding the megaphone.
Rakshit last directed in 2014
Ulidavaru Kandanthe, the cult classic, has been Rakshit’s only product as a director so far. With the freshness that he oozed in his debut outing, many were staring forth to seeing him direct anew. However, that had not befallen, until he chose to return from the sea!
Before & After Ulidavaru Kandanthe
Hombale Films released a teaser chronicling the title launch of their tenth production. It is open that Richi aka Richard Anthony would return, albeit it is not obvious in what capacity. Although the makers have stated that this film would happen before and after UK, knowing Rakshit Shetty, almost anything could uncover in front of us in the movie.
A solid team to aid Rakshit Shetty’s comeback
While the likes of Karm Chawla and B Ajaneesh Loknath hold on to their positions, Hombale and KRG have entered the fray to dish out an experience for the Kannada movie-goers. Prateek Shetty will edit the film while Rajakrishnan M R and Vikram Mor will handle production design and stunts respectively.
The teaser that brings memories of the master-piece
Without even showing the lead character, the makers have accomplished to draw the audience into the universe of Ulidavaru Kandanthe with wonderfully composed shots and daunting music. Of course, Achyutha Kumar elevates the proceedings with his one line about Richie, something that you should only savour in the video. Richard Anthony’s grave adds intrigue to the atmosphere.
