The 2019 G-20 summit saw 20 countries coming together to discuss eight themes to ensure Global Sustainable Development. The meeting witnessed several interactions between the World leaders which included Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump who discussed various bilateral and global issues on the G-20 Summit.

Both the leaders discuss vital partnership

Both the countries discussed the issues like Iran, 5G communications networks, trade, and defense ahead of the G-20 Summit. The US President Donald Trump firstly congratulated Modi on his election victory and said that the two countries should work together in many areas including military.

Talking about Iran, the US had reimposed sanctions on Iran in November after pulling out of a 2015 nuclear accord between Tehran and six world powers. To terminate Iran’s crude oil export to zero, the US had ended on May 2 waivers that had allowed the top buyers of Iranian oil, including India, to continue their imports for six months. For now, India, complying with the US sanctions, has ended all imports of oil from Iran.

For instance, the meeting between both leaders caught the attention of social media geeks. The way Donald Trump greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi created a laughing buzz on Twitter.
