Rishab Shetty has apparently been replaced in Rakshit Shetty’s upcoming comedy film Bachelor Party, as he is unable to give time to the project due to a planned sequel of Kantara.
Rishab Shetty is to be Replaced
Rishab Shetty is on cloud nine after the success of Kantara. The Kannada film emerged as one of the biggest hits this year, with the film surpassing Rs 400 crore. Following the success, it is reported that the filmmaker is all set to work on Kantara 2. Amid these reports, a new report has surfaced that Rishab Shetty is likely to be replaced in his upcoming comedy film titled Bachelor Party.
In an interview with YouTuber Madhu Sudan Gowda, Diganth said, “We had announced Bachelor Party, but then Rishab is nowhere to be found these days. We are very proud that he made a film that has got national recognition. He said that he is now going to make Kantara 2, and will be busy with that, so we are looking at replacing him in the film.”
A comedy film
Rakshit Shetty announced Bachelor Party in September, before the release of Kantara. The film is slated to be a comedy. Rakshit shared the announcement on Twitter, writing, “Happy and delighted to announce #ParamvahStudios’ next project, an adventure comedy film, “Bachelor Party”.” The tweet featured a poster showing the three leads in goofy avatars in a car.
Nevertheless, reports appeared last week that Rishab had requested he be discounted from the project. Unconfirmed reports even claimed that Rishab wanted to exit the project due to creative differences, which had created a separation between him and Rakshit.
Meanwhile, Rakshit’s last release ‘777 Charlie’ was also a commercial success, earning over Rs 100 crore at the box office and becoming the fifth-highest-grossing Kannada film of all time at the time of its release.
