The flood situation in several parts of rain hit Bengaluru continued to remain the same on Tuesday, with streets waterlogged, and houses and vehicles partially submerged, as torrential downpours lashed the capital city on September 5 night.

With severe waterlogging in Bengaluru after heavy rainfall, many IT professionals in the city were forced to take tractor rides to reach their workplaces.

“I came by tractor as roads are all submerged in water, also our vehicles are under water… I have exams from tomorrow, so I have to go to school,” a girl dressed in a school uniform said.

“Water has not receded, as there was rain once again last night (Monday), in fact, I feel it has increased. I have to go to the office, kids have schools, and I somehow used a tractor today. Request the government and authorities to do something and restore normalcy,” an office goer said.

Taking to LinkedIn, Arjun Mohan wrote, “I had to walk 7 km, take a tractor to cross waist-deep water and hitch rides from passing bikers to reach office.

He further said that the entire area around Bellandur and Outer Ring Road is submerged and apartments are without power and water.

“Quite an adventurous day and looks like Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Karnataka government have decided to do everything to keep us healthy with all the walking. Bellandur is home to some of the biggest tech brands in the World. Their Indian HQ with the best coders is located here and the area contributes to double-digit % of India’s software exports. It’s also one of the fastest growing clusters for product companies in India,” Mohan wrote on LinkedIn.

Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal also shared a similar incident on Twitter.

Some even took the help of JCB to go from one place to another. Here’s the video:
