Heavy rains lashed parts of Delhi on Thursday. As per IMD’s forecast, moderate rainfall is also likely in Delhi on Friday and over the weekend as well. While few enjoyed the pleasant weather, many had to struggle due to flooding. Amid the chaos, many people took to Twitter and compared Delhi’s condition with that of Bengaluru. People pointed out how it is exactly the same everywhere.
Delhi NCR Waterlogging
The Delhi-Gurugram Expressway on Thursday was submerged after Delhi-NCR saw steady rainfall throughout the day. Pedestrians had to wade through knee-deep rainwater, while the vehicles moved at a snail’s pace.

The flooding caused problems near Mayfield Garden, Basai Chowk, AIT Chowk, Atlas Chowk, CRPF Chowk, and Sector 10-A. More than 1,000 traffic police personnel were deployed across the city soon after it started raining on Thursday morning.
Thanks to #Delhi-government for helping me one day off road through #Gurugram thanks to @ArvindKejriwal for this beautiful opportunity. I travelled from Kerala for such an amazing experience. #Delhirains #monsoon #Gurugram #rains #ArvindKejriwal pic.twitter.com/ZSlQrJxc5C

A traffic police advisory for Delhi-NCR said, “Due to continuous heavy rainfall in Gurugram, there is waterlogging at some places and the traffic is moving at a slow speed. Therefore, we request all of you that you should come out of the house only when necessary.”
