Rakshith Shetty Confesses The Mistakes He Did In ASN And Has Not Repeated In 777 Charlie

As 777 Charlie is set to hit the screens on June 10, which will portray the special bond between a man and his dog, we take a look at things that are different in this film as compared to Rakshit Shetty’s previous films.

Rakshit Shetty’s experience from his previous films

Rakshit Shetty is someone who goes easy with filmmaking and never rushes to execute a film. After coming into the limelight with Kirik Party (2016), he has headlined just two films — Avane Srimannarayana (2019) and the upcoming 777 Charlie (2022). With the highs and the lows, the Kannada actor has come a long way in terms of experience and learning.

The 38-year-old, just like his previous film Avane Srimannarayana, is planning to release 777 Charlie in multiple languages. But Rakshit explains why his forthcoming movie will be different and has revealed how he has tried not to repeat the mistakes he had made in his previous films.

While speaking about the previous film’s failures he said, “We had worked hard for Ulidavaru Kandante, but when it failed at the box office it was really disappointing. But I did realize the mistake and learned to take a response from it. With Avane Srimannarayana, it didn’t hurt me that much when I did not receive an expected response but somewhere deep inside I was a bit low. A few beautiful scenes from the film took a lot of hard work to execute, and I wanted people to at least notice those scenes. But people straightly disregard them. It was really disappointing. But with this, ASN helped me come out of my comfort zone and made me prepared for my upcoming films.”

“There are many things that I have learned after I did Avane Srimannarayana. There is this massive satisfaction that came to me in the form of learning and experience which did not happen to me with Ulidavaru Kandante. I know what went wrong and what were the aspects that were missing in my previous films. I have learned how to correct them as well,” he said.

Why 777 Charlie is different from ASN?

Rakshit Shetty further explains that ASN was all about objective content and not like 777 Charlie which is all about subjective content. “The forthcoming film is about emotions that we tried to concentrate on while writing the script. As compared to films like Pushpa, RRR, and KGF, which were all about the biggest characters, 777 Charlie, brings out the biggest emotions that no film has ever done till now,” he says.

Rakshit feels that the equation between the dog and the man, and how the former brings changes to the life of the latter is what 777 Charlie is all about. “Experiencing the climax is something very beautiful in the movie. After the end of the film, subconsciously it will bring changes to a person watching the film,” he concludes.
