Tamil Actor Siddharth has landed himself in trouble. His tweet comprising of sexist remarks against Badminton Player Saina Nehwal is widely opposed by people and netizens on Twitter. The use of the word ‘Subtle Cock’ is the bone of contention here.
Ace Badminton Player Saina Nehwal tweeted against the PM Security Breach and advocated her stance against the same. In response to this actor, Siddharth wrote,

This tweet/comment has caused severe outrage where people ranging from actors, celebrities and even common people have reacted strongly against this.

#Siddharth has been trending on Twitter since the comment surfaced and people have called out the misogynistic remark and spoken up against the actor.
Siddharth has reacted through another tweet that this tweet has been taken out of context, the tweet read,

Saina Nehwal and her husband have spoken up against this and have been reported saying that this remark has been upsetting for them and the actor must have chosen his words more carefully. Saina’s father in response has said, “Intentional or Unintentional, an apology is needed.”
The National Commission for Women has also come into the picture, where netizens called out to them to acknowledge his remarks. The NCW has called his remarks ‘misogynistic and which outrage the modesty of a woman” and has now sought an FIR to be filed against the actors for his crass remarks. NCW has also called out Twitter to block his tweet.
