It was a black Friday for the people of Karnataka. The beloved actor of the citizens, son of late actor Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last in Bengaluru today. The actor was just 46 years old.
Karnataka loses Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar
Puneeth, who had recently made a public appearance at the pre-release event of brother Shivaraj Kumar’s film Bhajrangi 2, had always employed a lifestyle in which he kept himself fit. This morning, he collapsed after a gym session and was then brought to the Vikram Hospitals in the city. The doctors tried their best but were not able to able to save the legendary personality.
Doctors reveal the events before Puneeth’s demise
Speaking to the media, Dr P Ranganath Nayak of Vikram Hospitals said that after completing two hours of gym session this morning, Puneeth Rajkumar complained of chest pain. He was then taken to the family doctor, who performed ECG. The results showed symptoms of a cardiac arrest. Immediately, within the next 15 minutes, Puneeth was brought to the Vikram Hospitals. However, en route, he suffered a cardiac arrest, and by the team he reached the hospitals, there was no cardiac activity. The doctor revealed that for three hours in ventilation, a cardiac massage was done to revive the actor. However, the heart had gotten weak, and hence, the doctors were not able to save Puneeth Rajkumar.
For the countless fans, his family and friends, it will be a piece of news that will be hard to digest. For the industry, as well, it is a massive setback.
