Taliban has finally seized control of Kabul, Afghanistan and as the world stands shocked by the heartbreaking news coming out of Afghanistan, people from around the globe have expressed their support and solidarity with the people of the country.
Several Indian celebrities have expressed their condolences and disbelief at the events unfolding, Swara Bhaskar being one of them. The Raanjhanaa actor is renowned for her outspoken activism, and she’s no stranger to being trolled. Her ponderous thoughts often land her in troublesome situations.
Swara Bhaskar And Her Controversial Tweets
During Veere Di Wedding promotions, Swara came under fire by the troll brigade for having criticized Pakistan as a failed state, despite her own 2015 comments contradicting her. She was targeted by people on both sides of the border.
Her numerous verbal duels with Kangana Ranaut on Twitter are well documented. The two firebrands wear their hearts on their sleeves, resulting in sharp words being exchanged. This time however, the talented actress was once again the recipient of the internet’s ire when she retweeted Lotfullah Najafizada’s original tweet in support of the people of Afghanistan.
Twitter Once Again Trolls Swara Bhaskar
How is this talibanization? I mean, I am sure the commodification of women's bodies by capitalist and consumerist industries should bother us all. Not surprising though, coming from an Indian who are conditioned by Bollywood's objectification of women.

Yes it does…sad how some of the most progressive societies like Iran and Afghanistan have been turned into states with absolute no freedom.

It’s disappointing to see people turn the plight of the Afghani people into yet another opportunity for online trolling. At a time when we should be coming together as a community to offer our prayers and support to the victims in Afghanistan, we end up dividing ourselves once again over petty issues.
