In an incident reported today, the police had to act as big-time Ganja traders to catch the drug dealer. After getting the police team runaround, the dealer finally came on a video call and asked them to show money if they really wanted such a quantity. According to the Rajgopal Nagar police, the accused has been identified as Shivakumar aka Shiva (27), a resident of Chikkaballapur district.
Police said that the accused dealer used to transport marijuana hidden in his vegetable supply truck from Chikkaballapura to Bengaluru.
A senior police officer added that the accused dealer was to visit cities like Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vijaywada, and Vizag to procure Ganja and store it in his house in Chikkaballapura.
“We were stunned to see the way he had managed to store it in his house. It can only be done by an after gaining a lot of experience as a professional smuggler,” the police said.
The police team had placed an order of nearly 17 kg from him. Shivakumar (accused dealer) was selling marijuana on Wednesday evening at GKW Layout near Peenya 2nd stage. “We acted on a tip-off, raided the place, and caught him red-handed.
