On Monday, there were several reports and rumors around the Congress Working Committee meeting that was supposed to elect the next Congress party. Meanwhile, Twitter did not miss an opportunity to troll the former party president Rahul Gandhi.
According to the Congress leader Muniyappa who is also the member of the Congress Working Committee, the decision to continue Sonia Gandhi as the president was taken unanimously by the committee. The decision came as a shock as there were expectations of new developments within the party after 26 senior leaders of the party wrote a leader to Sonia Gandhi.
Soon after the news came out, twitter trended the hashtag #BJPWithRaGa. One of the users wrote,
“#BJPWithRaGa is nothing but BJP’s confidence in their staunch supporter. Without his efforts and extensive campaign in support, @BJP4India would have never achieved this success.”
The BJP leader Tajinder Bagga too joined the trend and wrote “sorry babu” to Rahul Gandhi also taking a jibe at Rhea Chakraborty.
