‘Shall I Rake Up The Past Cases of BSY?’: Siddaramaiah Lashes Out Against BJP For The ‘Hublot Watch’ Topic

Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has lashed out against the BJP Government for serving a legal notice against him and DK Shivakumar for alleging the BJP Government of corruption.

Legal notice slapped against the Congress leaders

The Congress leaders had alleged the BJP government of corruption in procuring COVID-19 equipment which led to a notice being slapped against them. Also, Siddaramaiah’s ‘Hublot Watch’ topic and DKS’ ‘Tihar Jail’ stint was brought up by BJP.

Siddu responds to the notice and the comments

Siddaramaiah said that he too is a lawyer, and said that he would not respond to notices sent by Tom, Dick, and Harry. He was particularly critical of BJP’s move to bring the ‘Hublot Watch’ topic and threatened that he can also speak about BSY’s past cases.

He said that the Hublot Watch row is a bygone issue, and there is no necessity in raking it up now. He added that the watch has been returned to the government, and ACB had already given a clean chit to him after a thorough probe. He further said that he had neither purchased the watch with his own money nor using the government funds. He reminded the media that the watch was given to him as a gift by an NRI friend, and that there is proof of the same.

The former CM also came to the rescue of DKS and said that his party-mate was not held guilty by the court. He also said that the entire DKS saga was a politically motivated one.
